Reiki Level III Teacher Training (Shinpiden Part II).
Sharing the Practice
There may come a point in your Reiki journey when you feel drawn to share Reiki with others. Perhaps the thought has been quietly taking shape for a while. Perhaps you have experienced a meaningful change in your own life and would like to create space for others to explore Reiki for themselves.
My Reiki Teacher Training offers an opportunity to develop the understanding, confidence and practical skills to guide students through the traditional system of Usui Reiki Ryoho, while continuing to deepen your own relationship with the practice.
The foundations are presence, compassion, integrity and a willingness to keep learning. You do not need to arrive with every answer. You do need to arrive with an openness to exploring what it means to take responsibility for supporting someone else’s learning.
Come as you are. Allow your teaching voice to unfold.
Building on your Shinpiden (Reiki Level III Master) experience
In my Shinpiden course, we turn inward. Through meditation, the precepts, hands-on healing, symbols and mantras, we explore our true bright light and what it means to live Reiki more fully.
Teacher Training builds on this foundation. We consider how to communicate those teachings clearly, demonstrate practices with care and support students as they discover their own understanding through experience. Your personal practice remains at the heart of this process. The way you listen, respond to questions, meet uncertainty and hold space for a student, or a group becomes part of your teaching.
The precepts continue to guide us: in our preparation, in our relationships with students and in the choices we make as teachers. Becoming a teacher is another invitation to live the practice.
An Eastern-led approach
My teaching is rooted in the traditional Japanese philosophy and practices of Usui Reiki Ryoho, with an emphasis on meditation, self-enquiry, curiosity, compassion and an awareness of Oneness.
We explore the five elements of the Reiki system as an interconnected whole:
The Reiki precepts and developing spiritual and mental focus.
Traditional techniques and meditations.
Hands-on healing.
Symbols and mantras/jumon.
Reiju and attunements.
As a teacher, understanding how these core elements support one another helps you offer students a coherent foundation. We will consider both how to guide an element, its practice and how to explain its place within the wider system. There will also be space to explore how to honour Reiki’s Japanese roots while making your teaching welcoming and understandable for the people in front of you.
What you will learn
Through in person guided learning, practical experience and reflection, you will learn how to:
Teach Shoden — Reiki Level 1: introduce the foundations of Reiki, self-practice and hands-on healing.
Teach Okuden — Reiki Level 2: guide students through practitioner-level learning, including symbols, mantras/jumon and distant Reiki.
Teach Shinpiden — Reiki Level 3: support students in exploring the deeper philosophical teachings, meditation and living Reiki.
Train future Reiki teachers: guide others in developing the understanding, practical skills and confidence to teach Reiki themselves.
Attune others: learn and practise the attunement methods for each level, with attention to preparation, intention and presence.
Give Reiju to others: learn how to offer this spiritual blessing with care, humility and respect for each person’s experience.
Guide meditation, chanting and practical exercises: communicate instructions clearly and allow space for students’ own discoveries.
Plan and deliver your courses: develop course structures, prepare learning materials and balance explanation, discussion and practice.
Create a welcoming learning environment: work with consent, professional boundaries and different learning needs.
Support and assess your students: offer constructive feedback, establish clear completion requirements and encourage continued personal practice.
Create your own dance: You will have the opportunity to create a way of teaching that works best for you.
On successful completion, you will be able to teach Reiki Levels 1, 2 and 3, offer attunements and Reiju, and train others to become Reiki teachers.
Developing your confidence as a teacher
Knowing a practice for yourself and guiding someone else through it are different experiences. Teacher Training creates space to explore that transition. We will work with explaining ideas in clear, accessible language, demonstrating techniques and guiding meditation and chanting. You will consider how to structure learning, allow time for questions and balance explanation with practical experience.
We will also explore how to respond when students have different experiences, feel uncertain or ask something you cannot immediately answer. An honest “I don’t know; let’s explore that” can be a valuable part of responsible teaching.
You will be encouraged to find a teaching voice that feels natural to you, supported by a sound understanding of what you are sharing.
Reiju and attunements
Learning to offer Reiju and attunements forms an important part of this next stage. Alongside the practical methods, we will explore preparation, intention, presence and the responsibility involved in offering these experiences to students.
The emphasis remains on approaching the practice with care and humility, allowing each student space for their own experience without imposing expectations about what they should feel.
Creating a welcoming learning environment
People arrive at Reiki training with different backgrounds, beliefs, hopes and concerns. Some are confident and talkative; others need time to settle, observe and find their voice. We will explore how to create a respectful environment where students can ask questions, take part comfortably and learn at their own pace. This includes consent and boundaries during practical work, clear communication, respect for individual beliefs and experiences, and recognising the limits of your role. We will also consider how to discuss Reiki responsibly, without diagnosing, making promises or discouraging appropriate medical or psychological support.
Preparing to share Reiki with others
The course will explore the preparation involved in teaching Shoden, Okuden and Shinpiden: identifying the purpose of each level, planning sessions, choosing suitable learning activities and supporting students’ continued practice.
We will consider course materials, opportunities for reflection and practice, constructive feedback and clear expectations for completion.Throughout, you will be invited to reflect on the kind of teacher you wish to become and the experience you want to offer your students.
Who is this training for?
This course is for students who have completed my Shinpiden training and feel drawn to explore teaching Reiki.
You may feel excited about that possibility, a little nervous, or both. There is room for all of that. What matters is your commitment to your own practice and your willingness to approach teaching with care, honesty and an open mind.
Prerequisite: Shinpiden (Reiki Level III Master) completed with me
To join my Teacher Training, you must have successfully completed Shinpiden Level 3 with me.
This is an intentional foundation for the course. My Shinpiden teaching brings together a particular philosophical understanding, meditative approach and way of working with the elements of Reiki. Teacher Training continues directly from that shared experience.
If you completed Reiki Master training elsewhere, you are very welcome to enquire about taking Shinpiden with me before progressing to Teacher Training. This gives us the opportunity to explore the approach together and establish the foundation on which the teaching course builds.
Is this your next step?
If you feel drawn to share Reiki with others, get in touch. We can talk about your experience, your personal practice and what you hope to bring to teaching.
Your true bright light has its own way of shining. Give yourself permission to discover how you might share it.
